10- raintray & headwork New modern rain tray which I think looks much better than my old small one

The head about to be removed. I had to leave so I couldn't take more pics

I went to visit my mechy today and he had just collected my head from his tuner friend. I'm glad I went because I could take some pics before it all was put together . Please excuse the quality of the pics as I only had my cell phone with me. The throttle body seen in these pics is a mock-up (to keep inside of intake manifold clean), my throttle body is arriving later today (those "humps / ridges" on the top and bottom were removed).I'm excited get my car tuned now and take it for a drive  .

The head about to be removed. I had to leave so I couldn't take more pics

Head still to be put back.

New valve seals

Exhaust ports, valve seats and guides done

Intake ports, valve seats and guides done

Intake manifold done and matched to ports.

My stock "G-cam". My mechy says that a high duration cam (at the least a 272) would work well with my modded head. So that is probably next on my list

Before and after headwork (I got the pic on the left from GolfGTI, hope you don't mind)

The surface area in front of butterfly valve was done.
Notice that the "humps" or "ridges" above and below the butterfly valvehave been removed.

So I went to have my car tuned today at K.A.R performance. Thanks Shane for doing a great job

I'm still using the same "G-cam" for now. My current torque curve is at about 129nm @ 2500 rpm and my previous torque curve was 115nm @ 2500 rpm; a whopping 14nm!
